A HOME AWAY is a world-class recovery oriented retreat located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of Kelowna, British Columbia. Limited to a maximum of 8 guests, you will benefit from individual attention, your own private room, and a warm, home-like setting bringing hope, healing, renewal and spiritual growth.

The expert staff provide a comprehensive program including individual sessions, group/family counselling, relapse prevention, recreation, spiritual exploration, 12 step philosophy, life coaching, and aftercare. Expertise in addiction, adult children of alcoholics (ACOA), family issues and co-dependency. Experience luxurious accommodation, wonderful meals, and expert, compassionate staff as an affordable alternative to traditional institutions.

PROGRAMS:

Recovery: 30 day core program
Intensive individualized program to achieve sobriety, serenity and a healthy life balance.

Extended Care: Customized durations (up to 3 months)
Reinforcement of recovery behaviour & lifestyle. Many guests choose to extend their recovery stay to solidify their gains and deal more completely with underlying issues. Enhance your serenity.

Renewal Retreat: Individualized program of 7 to 21 days
For those who have previously completed the core program and wish to renew, refresh and energize. An opportunity for deeper healing and reflection. Take time at A Home Away for another 'Fourth and Fifth' or other in-depth Step Work.

Family Sessions: Couple or family sessions over 3 to 5 days
At A Home Away we recognize addiction as a family disease. We encourage guests to invite their loved ones to participate in family sessions during their last week. Three sessions are included with the 30 day program.

Individual Sessions: An integral part of the 30-day residential program. Complimentary sessions are offered to provide support in the first 12 months following the core recovery program.
