What is Bountyfull?

Bountyfull House is a counselling centre operated by the non-profit Bountyfull Society. The Centre was opened in 1987 by Father Larry Mackey, OMI, who has developed an innovative approach to inner healing which focuses on the whole person.

At the core of this approach are the "Bountyfull Principles for Living" which focus on feelings and unconditional self-acceptance.

In an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding, the counsellor walks with the individual through their life story, where the hidden roots of pain and brokenness are unearthed. Individuals often begin to recognize various forms of dependancy to which they have given over their power, in an attempt to 'feel better'. The dependancy may be on drugs, gambling, food, alcohol, rage, sex, relationships, counsellors .... the list goes on.

As individuals discover and let go of the hidden roots of their brokenness, they begin to reclaim their power within and a "sense of self" is restored. Through a spiritual awakening, individuals are able to touch the healing power that lies within themselves and thereby follow the path to freedom and healing. The goal, serenity, is within grasp.
