Chemical Dependency Programs and Services

Crossroads provides outpatient chemical dependency treatment to adults 18 and over. Each individual is provided with a treatment plan designed to address their specific needs.

Assessment:

The process of recovery begins with a full diagnostic assessment to determine the extent of the individual’s involvement with alcohol or other drugs. In addition, nine (9) critical life areas are reviewed to ensure that any biological, psychological, or social problems can be addressed. The entire assessment process takes approximately two (2) hours. Day, evening, and weekend appointments are available.

Alcohol and Other Drug Information School:
Alcohol and Other Drug Information School is a 9 hour educational program designed for those individuals who have received a DUI and are assessed as not having an ongoing problem with alcohol or other drugs.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment:
For those who are diagnosed as chemically dependent, Phase I consists of eight (8) weeks of care in intensive outpatient treatment. Patients are in attendance three (3) times per week for a total of nine (9) hours per week. Group and individual counseling, education, and involvement in 12-step programs make up the basis for intensive outpatient treatment. Day, evening and weekend programs are available.

Weekly Aftercare:
For those who have completed intensive outpatient treatment or who have completed an intensive inpatient treatment program, weekly aftercare provides ongoing support in the process of recovery. Patients are in attendance once per week for 1.5 hours.

Relapse Prevention:
For those who have achieved some level of ongoing recovery but experienced a relapse to substance use, relapse prevention treatment may be the answer. Relapse prevention treatment is a structured program that addresses the causes of relapse and allows each patient to create an individualize relapse prevention plan. Patients are in attendance once per week for two (2) hours.
