Programme Overview

South Coast Recovery Centre (SCRC) incorporates several program formats within the structuring of a personalised program.

It is imperative that individuals entering treatment are given as much training as possible, in order to equip them to meet the challenges of Society and for them to effectively sustain management of themselves.

In our experience conventional, short term recovery methods are unsuccessful. It is only by structuring individual programs, over using tried and tested methodology that sustainable recovery can be achieved.

As each drug has its own idiosyncrasies, craving cycles and effect, the drug of choice is factored into the individualised program.



The Programme Content

Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous:

The International NA and AA 12 Step Programs are worked through in great depth and detail, with each resident completing up to Step 7 before leaving the program.

In our experience, unless the character defects are removed through the completion of Step 7, any program has little lasting value.

All work is marked and processed in detail with each resident.

SCRC is also the venue for local NA and AA meetings.

The advantage and principle of ‘Addict to Addict’ help is without parallel, and its effectiveness has been proven over many years.

SCRC is registered with the International branches of NA, AA and Cocaine Anonymous.

We are a Christian organisation and our programs are ‘Word Based’. We enjoy the covering from several Churches.

SCRC utilises a spiritual restoration program ‘The Spiritual 12 Steps’. This is worked in conjunction with the NA/AA Steps and is highly effective in re-establishing values, ethics, honesty, integrity and family values.

Spiritual guidance and counselling are available throughout the duration of the program.

As each drug has its own idiosyncrasies, craving cycles and effect, specific programs for crack cocaine and heroin as well as a program focussed on sexual issues and sexual abuse.
