Tropical Oasis is an exclusive, effective, and highly private addiction recovery program located in a beautiful tropical setting in Costa Rica. We are the only treatment program of its kind in Costa Rica and Central America. Our recovery program is designed for individual lengths of stay. Typically, stays range from 30-90+ days.

Our caring and professional staff is available at all times to assist you and your loved ones in obtaining rehabilitation services and guidance for drug addiction and alcoholism. We will work closely with you to address your physical and emotional road blocks to your recovery. What We Do

The social treatment model is an approach that has proven itself over time. The essence of the social model is a spiritual awakening and a relationship with a higher power significant to the individual. Oasis Tropical seeks to facilitate the exploration and development of this relationship by providing a safe place to live, learn, heal and recover from the effects alcohol and drug abuse. We provide a methodology for recovery as a lifelong spiritual path. We are no longer isolated, but a part of a worldwide fellowship. Emphasis is on these steps as a life journey, progress not perfection. We will utilize each step on a deeper level as our experiences progress. The journey inward is also a journey outward. It is a journey of reconnection with ourselves, our families, our loved ones, our higher power, our world and all of creation. Through this journey we learn wisdom and compassion. We become accountable for our recovery and our lives.

All of our services are provided by qualified and professional staff. Our passion for recovery shows in our personal intrest for your success post treatment. We believe that treatment tailored to each clients specific needs is essential in the healing process.

Our services will include a safe detox from alcohol and drugs, chemical dependency counseling, educational lectures and groups, relapse prevention and aftercare, family counseling and coordinating services, gender sensitive process groups, country side tours and physical activities that promotes team work as well as inner growth. We will work with each client on putting together a schedule that best promotes their holistic healing. Yoga, meditation and massage are also incorporated into their schedules as a way of learning to care for self. The discovery of self is encouraged through their natural surroundings. The wilderness is a place where human beings have always traveled to seek relationship with a higher power. In returning to the wilderness and the natural world, we regain our sense of humility and awe. We understand that life is sacred and that existence itself is a profound mystery with each of us playing a part in that mystery.

Our Vision For You

Our staff is dedicated to helping families and loved ones reunite and learn to live with the disease of addiction that so many people suffer from. Much of this suffering is created in the mind of the Addict who has given in to the myths so many take as fact in our society.
Our primary mission is to offer a broad range of treatment options to individuals and their families struggling with the diseases of drug addiction and alcoholism. Our treatment services include counseling, education, training in the tools of recovery and how those tools apply to living free from drug addiction and alcoholism.

Who We Are

The Tropical Oasis was founded by Nicholas Russi, an addict and alcoholic. As an adolecent and young adult I struggled with substances of all types and went to various rehabilitation and detox facilities. No matter where I went I inevitably used again, until I made the choice for myself. I have traveled the road of devestation both physically and spiritually and have come to embrace a way of living that excedes all expectations. Through this journey I has commited to helping others with this disease, and help them to find some of the same relief and joy that I have.
