OUTPATIENT TREATMENT CENTERS FACILITIES or rehab clinics for treatment from active addiction or alcoholism.

Outpatient Treatment Centres / Facilities
Outpatient treatment centres have counsellors working there to help you find a way either out of or to control your addiction ( drug use ). You attend a day program which may involve one to one counselling as well as group support for a period of time. The length you attend can and usually is dictated by the seriousness of your problem. Outpatient Treatment Centres are for those who may not be able to attend a rehab center for a variety of reasons. In the USA the department of health for each state runs them. In the UK local authority or private organisations can run them it depends on the area you are in. Some of these Outpatient Treatment Centers have those in recovery from addiction as members of staff. This helps the clients to accept the staff know where they are coming from and how they feel plus it offers hope that they to may be able to help others one day if they work at ongoing recovery.

It is recommended that you talk this over with either your drug worker (project worker) doctor or mental health representative. They can help you to decide the seriousness of your problem, also what you can afford (that’s if you don’t have funding). They can also help you to access any available resources that may be beneficial to you.
There is only one way to work at recovery and that is one step at a time. Once the decision to quit has been made then contact your doctor etc. Start contacting services to see what the expectations are and if you can accept them as part of your program. Then work as closely as possible with your key worker ( project worker, drug worker etc) to find a suitable organisation for you.
