Adolescents drinking problems and the need for Youth Treatment Centers in the UK and abroad.

International health surveys show the UK as having unusually high levels of " risk " behaviour risk levels in teenagers particularly in relation to alcohol, illegal drugs and sexual activity.

The international findings shown by following the link below show worrying levels of binge drinking amongst our teenagers.

Does this mean more 12 step rehabilitation programs will be needed when these adolescents are older or should there be more youth treatment centers now to deal with the problem.

Residential rehabilitation centers ( rehab centers ) are not always the best solution but if this worrying trend does lead onto active addiction, alcoholism for our teenagers then yes teenage / youth rehab centers could well be the best solution.

Youth treatment centers in America are well established, maybe its time for more thought and funding to be used for targeting youth treatment centers here in the UK or Europe.

European Youth treatment centers may be the best solution we have for dealing with our teenagers already lost to the binge drinking culture.
